Jabiru J250-SP
$135/hr (dry)
About Jabiru:
Jabiru has been in the business of aircraft since 1988, and started out producing light aircraft kits. They also added their own engine starting in 1995, and have been manufacturing both together in Queensland, Australia. The classic, simple boxer engine is horizontally opposed, 6-cylinder, air-cooled, and direct-drive.
About the Aircraft:
Though the LSA certification limits to 1,320 lbs max gross takeoff, all Jabiru aircraft are stressed to 7G at 1,540 lbs and integrate an Occupant Protection Capsule to protect you and your precious cargo. The capsule is a specifically designed structure that is well-engineered and field proven to deflect energy away from its core, protecting the occupants. This is supported by the robust landing gear, made of more than 80 layers of unidirectional fiberglass, all of which has been time-tested in the Australian Outback, and around the planet, for decades. The J250-SP is an excellent cross-country flier with plenty of room for baggage. Her spacious cabin spans 44in (112cm), and boasts leather seats, cabin heat, and fresh air cabin vents for four-season flying. She is Light Sport Aircraft certificated, with the added bonus of being equipped for night VFR.
